Hey guys, remember that time that Benicio Del Toro decided to put on some shades, grow a mustache, and call himself Pablo Escobar? I know he looks like that all the time but in PARADISE LOST he’s playing Escobar.

The first look at Del Toro as the Colombian drug lord who is a little more sophisticated here trying out some amateur photography while wearing all white. The nice thing about PARADISE LOST is that it isn’t a biopic about Escobar it centers around a young couple played by Josh Hutcherson and Claudia Traisac:

Young surfer Nick thinks all his dreams have come true when he goes to visit his brother in Columbia. Against an idyllic backdrop of blue lagoons and white beaches he falls madly in love with a beautiful Colombian girl called Maria. It all seems perfect until he meets her uncle, one Pablo Escobar.

Could be something worthwhile. Everyone has been trying to get an Esobar biopic off the ground, and this seems to be a good medium. I’ve included a set video below. It’s in French. I’m sorry.
