Diane Lane has joined the all-star cast of the noir thriller Serenity

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

IM Global has just added Diane Lane to the already star-studded cast of their forthcoming noir thriller SERENITY. Upon coming aboard the project, Lane will join actors Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jason Clarke, Uma Thurman, Djimon Hounsou, and Kenneth Fok for a film in which the mysterious past of a fishing boat captain living in the Caribbean comes back to haunt him, ensnaring his life in a new reality that may not be all what it seems.

Written and directed by Stephen Knight, SERENITY is filming on location in Mauritius, an island nation in the Indian Ocean. Oh, and as part of the news package, we've got a First Look photo of Matthew McConaughey looking very … well, Matthew McConaughey as he stands next to Anne Hathaway in the film. You can check that out below:

Hmm, I wonder what the fish captain could have done before coming to the island that would haunt him so? Do you think that perhaps he'd ripped off Captain Crunch? Did he steal the coveted Gorton family recipe for fish sticks? I suppose we'll have to wait a while longer before we find out for sure. Don't forget to check back for more details about SERENITY as they set sail.
