Looks like we're in the midst of a new "Shark-aissance", or "Renaissa-Jaws"…or, whatever you wanna call it, as more and more outlandish shark films have come to fill in the void that JAWS and SHARKNADO left us. From LAND SHARKS, to SKY SHARKS, to a third DEEP BLUE SEA film, to even a David Lynchian arthouse shark film!
Now we can add the new, big-budget Chinese production BLOOD SHARK 3D (a.k.a. HORROR SHARK 3D) about sharks who are literally blood red! You can see for yourself in the trailer above, and below is the official synopsis:
The film centers on a swimmer and a marine paradise trainer who accidentally fall into a huge conspiracy about blood sharks.
Meanwhile, BLOOD SHARK 3D – written and directed by Wang Liang and starring Ang Lishen, Zhou Wietong, Meng-sheng Shen, Wen Dongjun, Wang Liang, Ziqing Liu and Tara Clance. – will chomp into Chinese theaters later this year! We'll keep you updated if it ever comes to North America!
