Trailer unleashed for Konga TNT, a giant ape movie shot during the pandemic!

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

So this is kind of fun. Shot during quarantine, KONGA TNT is

an experimental movie project being made while in isolation due to the Covid19 pandemic. Director Brett Kelly is taking unused footage from previous movies and combining it with new footage shot by himself and actor/fx artist John Migliore along with writer Trevor Payer. Additional actors will be contributing scenes shot on their own and the result will be a giant gorilla movie inspired loosely by the public domain KONGA comics from Charlton Comics!

And now they've released a trailer (which you can watch at the top of the article) that doesn't show much footage, but what it does show definitely gives off a fun "Sweded" charm to it! I'll probably check it out, as I have a soft spot for DIY movies – even if they turn out bad – ala BIRDEMIC and THINGS.

No official release date as of yet, but should be coming out (presumably only on digital platforms) later this year!

So what do you guys think? Either way, sound off below!
