Focus Features sets off a new teaser poster for Rupert Wyatt’s Captive State

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Focus Features has debuted a new teaser poster for CAPTIVE STATE, an upcoming sci-fi thriller from RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES and THE GAMBLER helmer Rupert Wyatt. Set in a Chicago neighborhood nearly a decade after an occupation by an extra-terrestrial force, CAPTIVE STATE explores the lives on both sides of the conflict – the collaborators and dissidents.

Headlining the film is none other than John Goodman (THE BIG LEBOWSKI, 10 CLOVERFIELD LANE), who will be joined by Ashton Sanders, Jonathan Majors, Colson Baker, and Vera Farmiga for a tale of unity, survival, and hope. Also set to appear in the film as a part of his silver screen debut is controversial rapper Machine Gun Kelly, whose recent beef with acclaimed rapper Eminem has made him the focus of some very negative attention. Isn't that just another day in the life of the rap game, though?

For those of us who have no appetite for celebrity beef, I invite you to turn your attention to a lightning quick teaser reel for the film, released by Focus Features earlier today:
