Whenever the Weinsteins stop fiddling around with Bong Joon-ho’s vision for SNOWPIERCER, it would be nice if they found the time to set a domestic release date for the sci-fi thriller, because it looks absolutely fantastic. Take this new French trailer for example; this gives us so many stunning visuals that now it just seems like we’re being tortured with our endless wait. It’s that good. (And we’ve seen some epic trailers for this one already.)
Based on the French graphic novel “Le Transperceneige,” SNOWPIERCER is set in a future where, after a failed experiment to stop global warming, an Ice Age kills off all life on the planet except for the inhabitants of the Snow Piercer, a train that travels around the globe and is powered by a sacred perpetual-motion engine. A class system evolves on the train but a revolution brews.
