The final trailer for ENDER'S GAME has arrived, featuring a lot more action and sci-fi mayhem than we've seen so far for the adaptation of Orson Scott Card's famed novel. Starring Harrison Ford, Asa Butterfield, Ben Kingsley, and Hailee Steinfeld, the Gavin Hood directed film looks like an epic-scale sci-fi pic, complete with alien invasions, space battles, and some fine scene chewing amongst aged actors. It's a much more engaging trailer than the teaser and may well be the one that clinches a ticket from those in doubt.

Get in the game:

Here's the synopsis:

70 years after a horrific alien war, an unusually gifted child is sent to an advanced military school in space to prepare for a future invasion.

This is the same trailer shown at Comic Con from what I remember and director Gavin Hood was extremely excited to share it while there. I was struck by how humble and thankful he was to be working on the film and he seemed very proud of the end result. Despite all the author controversy, I think ENDER'S GAME is taking shape as a potentially great sci-fi flick, hopefully one that doesn't crumble under the baggage of failed book adaptations.

ENDER'S GAME, starring Harrison Ford, Asa Butterfield, Ben Kingsley, Hailee Steinfeld, Viola Davis, and Abigail Breslin is set to start playing on November 1, 2013.
