So take a look at the trailer and see if this looks like a movie you’ll be adding to your watch list next month.

Described as “a blend of Rear Window and Disturbia” – which doesn’t seem necessary, since Disturbia was basically just a teen take on Rear Window – Girl at the Window is about what happens when

Amy and her mother move to a new home. Amy sees weird activity – her neighbor comes and goes at strange hours and she hears screams. Is her new neighbor and her mother’s new love interest the serial killer that’s killing her classmates?

Mitchell is joined in the cast by Ella Newton (Harrow), James Mackay (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales), Vince Colosimo (Lantana), and newcomer Karis Oka.

Mark Hartley, director of the Patrick remake and the documentaries Not Quite Hollywood, Machete Maidens Unleashed!, and Electric Boogaloo: The Wild, Untold Story of Cannon Films, is at the helm of Girl at the Window, working from a screenplay by Terence Hammond (Last Dance) and Nicolette Minster (The Legend of Burnout Barry). Hartley said, “Girl at the Window boasts a strong, resourceful heroine and a bounty of exciting set pieces – it’s exactly the breed of film that I love.

The film was produced by Blue Fox Entertainment and Antony I. Ginnane, with production investment from Film Victoria.
