Well this isn’t really horror news, but it’s Friday and it’s David Goyer… plus we’ve got a nice bit of sci-fi tied in here.
If your a fan of this genre, chances are you know who David Goyer is. He’s mainly a scribe and is most known for the BLADE franchise as well as the new BATMAN films… which includes that flick THE DARK KNIGHT. Plus Goyer has a new, dare I say original, flick coming out called THE UNBORN, so he’s definately a name in the genre.
Today I’m bringing word from The Hollywood Reporter that Goyer and STAR TREK vet Brannon Braga just sold their script for a pilot to ABC. The show is called FLASH FORWARD. It chronicles the chaos that ensues after everyone in the world blacks out for 2 minutes, 17 seconds and has a mysterious vision of the future that changes lives forever.
With Goyer behind it I’m definately down! Looks like everyone is already comparing this show to a show like LOST. Well I love LOST, so I’m sold!
Seems like FLASH FORWARD was originally set up at HBO, but the ‘O’ felt the show fit more to a broadcast network. HBO seems to know what works… so everything’s looking good so far.
FLASH FORWARD is based off the novel by Robert J. Sawyer with Goyer directing the pilot. As soon as we hear any more news, we’ll update you.
