Earlier this month we learned that Alfonso Cuaron’s highly anticiapted film GRAVITY had finally scored a release date. Sure that release date is over a year away – but hey, at least it’s something right?!

Now we’ve got Guillermo del Toro telling MTV that GRAVITY is ‘so insane’. Wait a minute… Guillermo del Toro… calling a flick ‘so insane’?! That right there folks is something that should have your interest peaked! Now sure, del Toro and Cuaron are buddies and I highly doubt they would say a single negative thing about each other’s work… but it’s del Toro we’re talking about here! I don’t know about you guys, but he’s got my full trust.

You can watch the video of the interview below, where del Toro also talks about how James Cameron felt the film would be ahead of it’s time, even with today’s standards. So scroll away below and check that out!

The lone survivor of a space mission to repair the Hubble telescope desperately tries to return to Earth and reunite with her daughter.

MTV also have videos of del Toro chatting about THE HAUNTED MANSION 3D and how Emma Watson would be perfect for BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, so you’ll want to pop on over to MTV to check those out as well.

In what started as an Angelina Jolie and Robert Downey Jr. gig, GRAVITY now stars George Clooney and Sandra Bullock (below). It’s set to hit theaters everywhere on November 21, 2012.
