If you’re a fan of the Kane Hodder-starring HATCHET series then you’re probably stoked to check out the latest installment, HATCHET III, when it hits limited theaters June 14 from MPI/Dark Sky Films. In the last couple of months we’ve seen a groovy teaser trailer and an ominous teaser poster hit the web, and today we have the news that HATCHET III will be arriving on DVD and Blu-Ray on August 13.
Directed by BJ McDonnell, written by Adam Green and starring Danielle Harris, Kane Hodder, Zach Galligan, Derek Mears, Sean Whalen and Caroline Williams, HATCHET III chops up like this:
HATCHET III continues the tale of the now-iconic villain Victor Crowley (Kane Hodder). As a search and recovery team heads into the haunted swamp to pick up the pieces and carnage left behind from the first two films, Marybeth (Danielle Harris) hunts down the true secret to ending the voodoo curse that has left the ghost of Victor Crowley haunting and terrorizing Honey Island Swamp for decades.
