Three decades after the release of one of Full Moon’s strangest cult favorites, the long-awaited sequel to Head of the Family is finally becoming a reality. Full Moon has officially announced that cameras will begin rolling in Los Angeles on August 25 for Head of the Family 2: Sirens of Seduction.

Fans have been hoping for a follow-up ever since the original Head of the Family debuted in 1996. For years, the sequel was referred to as Bride of the Head of the Family, but Full Moon has now revealed that the project is moving forward as Head of the Family 2: Sirens of Seduction.

The new film marks the return of the unforgettable Myron Stackpool, the grotesque oversized-headed villain played once again by Michael Citriniti (a.k.a. J.W. Perra), with Tom Devlin’s 1313FX bringing the character back to life through elaborate practical effects, staying true to the hands-on horror aesthetic that helped make the original film a cult favorite.

Here’s the official synopsis:

When the grotesque Head returns with a sinister plan to reclaim a normal human body, he unleashes two beautiful women he has cursed into living shrunken heads to seduce the greedy, the wicked, and the desperate into his web of black magic, but when they discover they are destined to become his final sacrifice, they turn their deadly charms against the monster who enslaved them.

The cast includes:

Full Moon plans to give fans behind-the-scenes access throughout production. Subscribers to their Patreon will be able to follow the making of the film with on-set updates, behind-the-scenes footage, and production diaries available only to members. The $25 Patreon tier includes exclusive behind-the-scenes access, updates, free Blu-rays, and merchandise, while the $250 Executive Producer tier adds additional movies and merchandise plus an Executive Producer credit on Head of the Family 2: Sirens of Seduction and future Full Moon productions.

With production beginning later this month and one of Full Moon’s most infamous villains finally making his return after 30 years, Head of the Family 2: Sirens of Seduction is shaping up to be one of the studio’s most anticipated projects.
