Three more names have been added to the cast of BATMAN VS SUPERMAN, one easily recognizable and two not so much. Holly Hunter, Callan Mulvey and Tao Okamoto are all joining the Zack Snyder sequel in undisclosed roles. According to The Hollywood Reporter, all three will portray characters newly created for the film and not existing ones from the pages of DC Comics.

Holly Hunter is the Oscar-winning actress known for her roles in RAISING ARIZONA, ALWAYS, THE FIRM, and as the voice of Elastigirl in THE INCREDIBLES. Callan Mulvey recently appeared in 300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE while Tao Okamoto played Hugh Jackman‘s love interest in James Mangold‘s THE WOLVERINE. It is almost impossible to tell how any of them will integrate into the story or even if they will be part of Batman, Superman, or Lex Luthor’s part of the plot.

With shooting on BATMAN VS SUPERMAN stil slated to begin this year, the cast should be coming together in the coming weeks in preparation for filming. These three will join Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Laurence Fishburne, Amy Adams, and Diane Lane in the quickly expanding cast. Hunter, being the most recognizable name of the three new additions, will likely be playing a somewhat substantial role while the other two may have neglible parts. Hopefully we know more soon.

BATMAN VS SUPERMAN is slated to open on May 6, 2016.
