Steve Dash Vengeance

Last December, Steve Dash – the actor, stunt performer, and former NYC police officer who played slasher Jason Voorhees in 1981's FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 2, passed away at the age of 74. Later this month, the YouTube channel Slash 'n Cast will be celebrating the man beneath Jason's sack mask with a documentary titled STEVE DASH: HUSBAND, FATHER, GRANDFATHER – A MEMORIAL DOCUMENTARY.

Dash returned to the world of FRIDAY THE 13TH a short time before he passed away by appearing in the fan film VENGEANCE (pictured above) as Sheriff Jason Realotti. The memorial documentary will feature Dash's final interview, where he was accompanied by his VENGEANCE co-star Jason Brooks.

The documentary will also feature

interviews with fellow actors who not only wore the hockey mask, but also toured the convention circuit alongside him, such as Kane Hodder (Parts 7-X) and C.J. Graham (Part 6). His son, Steve Dash Jr., also appears in the film.

STEVE DASH: HUSBAND, FATHER, GRANDFATHER – A MEMORIAL DOCUMENTARY will be available for viewing on the Slash 'n Cast YouTube channel as of 8pm Eastern on April 26th.

Dash was a great guy, so I'm very glad that there's going to be a documentary that pays tribute to him. The trailer for the documentary can be seen below.
