First Look: The Boy 2 starring Katie Holmes

STXfilms and Lakeshore Entertainment's follow-up to horror film director William Brent Bell’s PG-13 horror-thriller, THE BOY starring Lauren Cohan and Rupert Evans began principal photography last month in Vancouver, British Columbia. And today we have your first look at THE BOY 2 via a brand spanking new still. It features what appears to be Brahms' tiny and creepy doll body buried in the dirt and some form of child digging it up.

You can check out the first look still in full below. Cohan and Evans are not returning this time around and have instead been replaced with Katie Holmes (BATMAN BEGINS) who leads the cast with Christopher Convery (THE GIRL IN THE SPIDER'S WEB) to co-star as her son. Owain Yeoman (THE BELKO EXPERIMENT) joins as her husband, and Ralph Ineson (HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS) will play the role of “Joseph.”

Brent Bell returns to the helm following the success of THE BOY. The movie follows this synopsis:

Unaware of the terrifying history of Heelshire Mansion, a young family moves into the estate, where their young son soon makes an unsettling new friend, an eerily life-like doll he calls Brahms.

Written by Stacey Menear, who also penned its predecessor, THE BOY 2 will be produced by Lakeshore’s Tom Rosenberg, Gary Lucchesi and Eric Reid, in addition to Matt Berenson, Jim Wedaa and Roy Lee. The original film was produced for less than $15 million and grossed $68M worldwide so, yeah, a sequel was basically a given. But are you excited to see the further adventures of Brahms? Let us know below!
