Ghostbusters 2 star Kurt Fuller weighs in on the potential third film

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

Well folks it’s a pretty slow news morning on this fine Friday so I’ve decided to bring up something that just won’t seem to go away – GHOSTBUSTERS 3. Now it’s been a while since we’ve heard anything on this long-awaited project so when I saw the title in news headlines today I figured I’d share the good word with all of you.

You see today’s news isn’t really ‘news’ on the project persay, but actually has a former GHOSTBUSTERS alumn putting in his two cents on this potential third film. Screen Rant had a chance to catch up with GHOSTBUSTERS 2 actor Kurt Fuller earlier this month at Comic-Con and asked the character actor what he thought of this whole GHOSTBUSTERS 3 ordeal. Check out what Fuller had to say:

“I cannot predict what Billy [Murray] is going to do, you know? He’s a brilliant, mercurial, spontaneous dude – and I can easily see him just deciding to do it. But there will be no indication before he does. … I don’t know if there should be a Ghostbusters 3.”

Fuller even says he would be interested in returning for the third film… if it ever actually happens that is. You can go ahead and scope out the video of Fuller’s interview directly below to hear the man speak for himself.

So where does GHOSTBUSTERS 3 stand right now? Well apparently everybody is ready and raring to go except Bill Murray, who has Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky’s script sitting on his desk as we speak. As soon as Murray signs off on this shite, whether he’s going to star in it or not, then things should finally start rolling. As always we’ll keep bringing you every rumbling of GHOSTBUSTERS 3 we hear until this thing is either dead or about to hit theaters.
