Director Adam Wingard's GODZILLA VS. KONG is set to reach theatres on March 2020 and will see the Godzilla of KING OF THE MONSTERS and the 2014 GODZILLA going up against the Kong introduced in KONG: SKULL ISLAND. But today we have word via Warner Bros. Studio chairman Toby Emmerich that the movie might be pushed later into the year so they can deliver an A+ motion picture.

Emmerich said:

[Godzilla vs. Kong] will deliver for fans in the way they were looking for [in the latest Godzilla]. It might come out later in the year, so we can deliver an A+ movie.

I don't know about you but I have to say that when it comes down to it, I can wait a few more months to see these titans clash if it means we're getting a better movie at the end of the day. What do YOU think? Let us know below!

GODZILLA VS. KONG has the following synopsis:

In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.

The monster mash is directed by Adam Wingard (YOU'RE NEXT, THE GUEST) from a screenplay written by Terry Rossio based on    Godzilla by Toho and King Kong by Edgar Wallace and Merian C. Cooper. Mary Parent, Alex Garcia, Eric McLeod, and Brian Rogers are producing the movie which stars Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Shun Oguri, Eiza González, Jessica Henwick, Julian Dennison, Kyle Chandler, and Demián Bichir. GODZILLA VS. KONG is scheduled to reach theatres on March 13, 2020.
