Katie Featherston teases Paranormal Activity 4 appearance

With PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 4 barreling toward its October 19th release date, fan speculation has grown regarding the involvement of franchise star Katie Featherston. When recently asked about her involvement in the sequel, Featherston teased:

“I hear it on the internet, so of course it’s true! I actually don’t know one way or the other but I know that they’re working busily to put [the film] together and that everyone seems super excited. I keep up with Oren Peli and Jason Blum all the time. Fingers crossed I get the hookup before it comes out!”

That’s not a lot to go on, but it is open to some interpretation. My theories are 1) she has yet to shoot a small role for Paramount to cut into the film at the last minute, 2) she’s heavily involved and f*cking with us or 3) she’s already filmed a part but doesn’t know if her scene will make the cut (ala much of the footage shot and included in the trailers for these films but not the finished products). What do you think, PA fans? Am I on the money with any of the scenarios, or way off base?
