RINGS, the long-delayed third film in the American franchise based on Hideo Nakata's RINGU, is set to hit theaters on October 28th, but until now we haven't heard much from it other than constant reshufflings of the release date. Well now things are heating up, because IMDb dropped some primo behind-the-scenes photos of ghostly little girl Samara.

The spirit haunting the cursed videotape, Samara was originally played by Daveigh Chase (who also, funnily enough, voiced Lilo in LILO AND STITCH), but obviously the 25-year-old actress doesn't exactly fit the role anymore.

Her waterlogged shoes will be filled by Bonnie Morgan, a stuntwoman and actress who you may recognize from THE DEVIL INSIDE, the FRIGHT NIGHT remake, PIRANHA 3D, THE LAST WITCH HUNTER, and even MINORITY REPORT. Morgan previously did contortion stunts for Daveigh Chase on THE RING TWO, so this ain't her first rodeo.

In these images, she can be seen crawling out of a greenscreened well and having fun with her on-set chair. Check them out below!

Written by Akiva Goldsman, David Loucka, and Jacob Aaron Estes, RINGS was directed by F. Javier Gutierrez and executive produced by Guillermo del Toro. All we know is that it stars Matilda Lutz, Alex Roe as an unlucky fellow who watches the cursed video tape at the center of the franchise, Aimee Teegarden, and Johnny Galecki as a pleasure-seeking professor.
