More cast members join Daniel Radcliffe in exploring Greg McLean’s Jungle

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

Daniel Radcliffe has already boarded the expedition into Greg McLean’s JUNGLE, but now he’ll be joined by four more explorers: Thomas Kretschmann, Alex Russell, Joel Jackson, and Yasmin Kassim.

Thomas Kretschmann is perhaps the most well-known figure added to the cast, having appeared in Peter Jackson’s KING KONG as Captain Englehorn. He was also in SUPERBABIES: BABY GENIUSES 2, which you don’t want to admit you’ve seen but you know you have.

As for the rest, Alex Russell played Billy in the CARRIE remake, but he also appeared in the much more popular CHRONICLE. Joel Jackson is a relative unknown, but Yasmin Kassim is a Miss World Australia Runner-Up, who has appeared on the popular Australian show Neighbours. It might not be a cast of huge names, but it will certainly be interesting to see how they gel together.

Based on Yossi Ghinsberg’s memoir of the same name,  JUNGLE:

begins as a dream adventure for four amicable, if hastily met, muchileros (backpackers) and quickly becomes a struggle for survival as they unravel under the duress of the jungle. They are an odd mix to be sure: Marcus, the Swiss mystic; Karl, the shady Austrian geologist; Kevin, the well-intentioned American photographer; and Yossi, the Israeli adventurer. Jungle is the incredible true story of Yossi Ghinsberg’s triumph over the most adverse and frightening of circumstances. It is a tale of survival and human fortitude against the wildest backdrop on the planet.
