Netflix plans to end Stranger Things after season 4?

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

The third (and best) season of Netflix and the Duffer Brothers' hit teen horror series STRANGER THINGS hit this past Fourth of July, and I don't know about you, but I loved STRANGER THINGS 3. But today we have word that Netflix plans to wrap up the series following season 4.

Evidently, the original idea was to end the show after five seasons, but that seems to have been scrapped as so the whole "kids vs evil" hook can stay "kids vs evil" and not "young adults vs evil" if you know what I mean. Of course, this is just a rumor at this point in time but we will make sure to keep up to date on what's going on behind the scenes of the hit Netflix series and pass along word as we hear it.

The third season is set during the summer of 1985 and sees the return of such series mainstays as Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Sadie Sink, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, Dacre Montgomery, Charlie Heaton, Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery, Priah Ferguson, Cara Buono, Winona Ryder, and David Harbour. And those regulars are joined by new cast members Francesca Reale, Maya Hawke, Jake Busey, and Cary Elwes.

STRANGER THINGS 3 tells the following story:

It’s 1985 in Hawkins, Indiana, and summer's heating up. School’s out, there’s a brand new mall in town, and the Hawkins crew are on the cusp of adulthood. Romance blossoms and complicates the group’s dynamic, and they’ll have to figure out how to grow up without growing apart. Meanwhile, danger looms. When the town’s threatened by enemies old and new, Eleven and her friends are reminded that evil never ends; it evolves. Now they’ll have to band together to survive, and remember that friendship is always stronger than fear.

The third season of STRANGER THINGS is now streaming over on Netflix. What do you think? Let us know below!
