It's been a long time since we've heard any word on writer-producer Kim Henkel's latest, the cannibal tale BUTCHER BOYS. As a matter of fact, it has been so long since our last story on the film (coming just a little over a year ago) that in that time the film has played last years Fantasia International Film Festival and underwent a title change from BONEBOYS to its current title, BUTCHER BOYS. The silence ends today as we have a groovy update on the films theatrical and DVD/Blu-Ray release, as well as some new artwork for you to bite into below.
Phase 4 Films will release BUTCHER BOYS in select cities/theaters on September 6, 2013, followed by VOD/DVD/BLURAY outlets starting October 8, 2013.
The film is written by original TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE screenwriter Kim Henkel and directed by Duane Graves and Justin Meeks. It stars Ali Faulkner, Johnny Walter, Derek Lee Nixon, Tory Tompkins, Sonny Carl Davis, Phillip Wolf, Bill Johnson, Marilyn Burns, Terri McMinn, Ed Neal, John Dugan, Bill Wise, Mike Davis, and Greg Kelly.
From the creator of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre comes this gut-wrenching, non-stop roller coaster ride through the hellish underbelly of inner-city America. A birthday celebration at an upscale restaurant sets in motion events that bring a group of friends face to face with the macabre world of cannibals, the Butcher Boys. The Butcher Boys are international predators who deal in human flesh – dead or alive.
