Nicholas McCarthy’s Vatican possession movie White Smoke shoots this year

THE PACT, AT THE DEVIL'S DOOR, and THE PRODIGY director Nicholas McCarthy's new fright flick WHITE SMOKE has just been announced. Production is set to kick off sometime later this year on the film which follows 

a renowned neuroscientist who is summoned by an inner circle of cardinals to diagnose a bizarre case of possession inside the Vatican.

On top of directing WHITE SMOKE, McCarthy also penned the screenplay based on an original script by Mark Bianculli and Jeff Richard.

Matt Kaplan and his ACE Entertainment are producing the picture which is set up at Paramount Players. Once again, the plan is for the new movie to start shooting sometime later this year. Nicholas McCarthy directed THE PRODIGY from a screenplay written by Jeff Buhler (PET SEMATARY). Tara Farney and Tripp Vinson produced the movie which stars Taylor Schilling, Jackson Robert Scott, David Kohlsmith, Paul Fauteux, Colm Feore, Brittany Allen, Peter Mooney, Oluniké Adeliyi, Elisa Moolecherry, and Paula Boudreau.
