It was yesterday that we passed along the news that Blumhouse’s upcoming sequel to their hit teen slasher flick HAPPY DEATH DAY has announced the film’s cast including Jessica Rothe returning as Tree, Israel Broussard as Carter and newcomers Suraj Sharma as Samar Ghosh and Sarah Yarkin as Dre Morgan.
And today we have word via Variety that none other than Ruby Modine will be returning for HAPPY DEATH DAY 2 as well. Wait, what? Yep, Christopher Landon’s sequel is said to be a “Back to the Future” style follow-up so I guess time-loops are out this season and time-travel is in. Works for me.
