Stephen King’s Cell calls up Stacy Keach

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

The film adaptation of Stephen King’s CELL is moving right along down in Georgia; last week we informed you that Isabelle Fuhrman had joined the cast, and today we’re letting you know that veteran thespian Stacy Keach (ROAD GAMES, BODY BAGS) has boarded the project as well. John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson round out the cast.

According to Variety, Keach will play the headmaster of a prep school where the story’s survivors stop along their journey. Keach will soon be seen in Robert Rodriguez’s SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR.

When a powerful signal is broadcast across mobile networks worldwide, cell phone users’ minds are instantly and dangerously re-programmed. Heading north through New England in search of his wife and son, Clay Riddell (Cusack) is joined by a group of survivors hoping to fend off the bloodthirsty and hyper-connected “phoners.”

Tod Williams is directing from a script by King and Adam Alleca.
