William Friedkin's 1973 demonic horror film The Exorcist (watch or own it here) is considered to be one of the scariest films ever made, and with good reason! It had state-of-the-art special effects, a compelling lead performance, and great atmosphere to boot! It's also crafted with masterful tension, and great themes of faith, sacrifice, and the loss of innocence. There's much to unpack in this dense and important film, which you can see for yourself in video embedded at the top of the article!

And here's the official synopsis for the series Deconstructing, written, edited, and narrated by Gregory Burkart, produced by John Fallon, and executive produced by Berge Garabedian:

DECONSTRUCTING is a monthly web series in which we choose one of your favorite horror movies and take it apart piece by piece (lovingly, of course) to see what makes it a classic. Each episode examines the origins, legacy and mysteries behind our beloved genre's most iconic titles… but we play fast and loose with the rules, so expect the unexpected!
