There’s trouble in the morgue in The Autopsy of Jane Doe teaser

The Autopsy of Jane Doe Brian Cox Emile Hirsch

When he reviewed TROLLHUNTER director André Øvredal's English language debut film THE AUTOPSY OF JANE DOE at the Toronto International Film Festival a couple weeks ago, our own Chris Bumbray called the movie the most frustrating viewing experience of this year's festival. While he was totally on board for the first half, the story lost him in the second half, resulting in a 5/10 review.

More viewers will get their chance to see what Øvredal and screenwriters Ian B. Goldberg and Richard Naing have crafted with this film when IFC Midnight gives it a limited theatrical release on December 21st, and in preparation for that release a teaser trailer has arrived online and can be seen below.

THE AUTOPSY OF JANE DOE stars Brian Cox and Emile Hirsch as

father and son coroners who receive a mysterious homicide victim with no apparent cause of death. As they attempt to identify the beautiful young “Jane Doe,” they discover increasingly bizarre clues that hold the key to her terrifying secrets.

As far as I can tell, the teaser doesn't give anything important away, which I hope will remain the case with the film's promotional materials. I want to know as little as possible about the events before going into this one.
