UK Slasher Comedown

I love a good slasher as much as the next guy, so news today on a new slasher coming at us from the UK has my interest peaked. Considering there’s a good chance some of you might find this one interesting I’ve decided to pass it along to all of you!

The flick is called COMEDOWN from AV Pictures and Serotonin Films. Menhaj Huda (right) has already been tapped to direct a script from Steven Kendall. So what’s the deal with COMEDOWN? An urban horror set against a contemporary London backdrop of abandonment and decay. Six tearaway teenagers setting up a relay aerial for a local pirate radio station at the top of a condemned tower block, are targeted by a resident psychopath intent on exterminating the ‘vermin’ he perceives are besieging his home.

COMEDOWN stars Martin Compston, Adam Deacon, Red Madrell (below), Geoff Bell and Duane Henry. So what do you think? Should we just write this one off right now or do you see some potential here? COMEDOWN is due for release in the UK sometime in 2010 so keep it here for more as we hear it!
