Disney+ unveiled key art and the release date for Marvel Studios’ I Am Groot. The series of original shorts will be a part of their exciting summer lineup.
I Am Groot will launch on August 10, 2022, and the series of shorts will star Baby Groot and several new characters. All five shorts will be available to watch upon launch. Per Disney+’s official synopsis, “There’s no guarding the galaxy from this mischievous toddler! So get ready as Baby Groot takes center stage in his very own series, exploring his glory days growing up—and getting into trouble—among the stars.” You can check out the official key art below!
In what is perhaps his easiest job, Vin Diesel, who is the voice of Groot in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, will be voicing Baby Groot. Kirsten Lepore serves as a writer and director on the shorts while Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, and James Gunn serve as producers.
This is not the only Guardians of the Galaxy-involved project hitting screens this year. Not only will the team be present in next month’s Thor: Love and Thunder, and then will later get their own holiday special on Disney+, set for this holiday season.
