I Want That: Yub Yub! Lego Ewok Village!

JoBloJoBlo

I'm about to let me geek flag fly here, so bear with me. I love Legos. I didn't love them as a kid, although they were fun, but Lego has upped their game substantially since then. With all the various properties they tackle, there's a ton of different types to choose from, making me go a litte nerdcore for the plastic blocks. One such property is STAR WARS, which the brickmakers continue to churn out in all their episodic splendor. From Jabba's Palace to X-Wing fighters, there is a ton of different Lego products from a galaxy far, far away.

And now, Lego has gone and done it again. That's right, they've given us an Ewok Village. Now, for some the Ewoks are the much-hated bane of RETURN OF THE JEDI (similar to Jar Jar Binks), but for others, myself included, they're just fun, cheesy little teddy bears with spears that hilariously whupped the asses of the galactic empire with rocks and ropes. I saw JEDI in the theater a number of times as a kid in 1983 and the experience has certainly ingrained an appreciation for those fuzzy bastards and the chance to create their tree village with little plastic bricks fills me with childlike glee. So, yeah, there's that.

Take a look at this glorious thing:

The Lego Ewok Village includes 1,990 pieces and 16 minfigures; 5 Ewoks, R2-D2, Chewbacca, Han Solo, C-3PO and many more. It's set to hit store shelves in September 1, 2013. Start saving some cash now!
