Iconic creatures clash in new promo art for Adam Wingard’s Godzilla vs. Kong

With the release of director Adam Wingard's monster mash GODZILLA VS. KONG still ten months away, it makes sense that we haven't seen a lot of promotional material for the film. But if you're tired of looking at the same old promo art we've been seeing since last May, here's some relief.

Kaiju News Outlet got their hands on a GODZILLA VS. KONG image that's featured on the back of a package for a tie-in figure from Playmates Toys. This image can be seen below, and shows Godzilla and Kong having a fight on military property.

Written by Mike Dougherty and Terry Rossio, GODZILLA VS. KONG has the following synopsis:

In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.

The film stars Alexander Skarsgard, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Eiza Gonzalez, Jessica Henwick, Julian Dennison, Demian Bichir, Millie Bobby Brown, Kyle Chandler, Shun Oguri, Godzilla, and Kong.

GODZILLA VS. KONG is set to reach theatres on May 21, 2021.
