If movie reuniting John Krasinski and Steve Carell announced at Paramount

If movie, John Krasinski, Steve Carell, Paramount

Fans of The Office rejoice! John Krasinski and Steve Carell are reuniting for If, a new film project at Paramount. Krasinski will write, direct, and star in the film. Joining Krasinski for Paramount’s If movie is Carell, Louis Gossett Jr., Alan Kim, and Cailey Fleming. Ryan Reynolds, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Fiona Shaw are also set to star.

Based on an original idea by Krasinski, his If movie revolves around a child’s journey to rediscover their imagination. The film is scheduled for a November 17, 2023 release, just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Krasinski shared his elation for the If movie on social media, writing “Ah, what if one day I could assemble my dream cast? What…IF?”

Krasinki will produce If through his production company, Sunday Night, with partners Allyson Seeger and Andrew Form. Reynolds will also produce via his company, Maximum Effort.

Krasinski has been in the news lately as rumors continue to swirl that he’ll be playing Reed Richards for Marvel’s Fantastic Four. For the moment, this is nothing but wishful thinking for fans of Marvel’s first family. That said, I wouldn’t put it past Disney to dump a fresh pile of cash onto Krasinski’s lawn to coax him aboard the film. Meanwhile, Krasinski is set to voice Superman for DC League of Super-Pets, starring Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Vanessa Bayer, Natasha Lyonne, Diego Luna, Kate McKinnon, Marc Maron, Ben Reeves, Jameela Jamil, and Keanu Reeves.
