Paramount Pictures has cleared a batch of new character images for TOP GUN: MAVERICK for take off!

The Danger Zone just got far more … well, dangerous, as we now have a gallery of stylish pics that introduce us to the new recruits of TOP GUN: MAVERICK. Set to join Tom Cruise amidst the big blue for the highly-anticipated sequel to the 1986 original are Miles Teller as Lt. Bradley 'Rooster' Bradshaw, Glen Powell as 'Hangman', Monica Barbaro as 'Phoenix', Lewis Pullman as 'Bob', Jay Ellis as 'Payback', and Danny Ramirez as 'Fanboy'.

Directed by Joseph Kosinski, and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Tom Cruise, Christopher McQuarrie, and David Ellison, TOP GUN: MAVERICK finds Cruise's Maverick back in the cockpit and ready to fly headlong into his most challenging mission yet, training a group pilots for a specialized mission that will test their skills as well as their mettle.

Here is the official synopsis for TOP GUN: MAVERICK:

After more than thirty years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him. When he finds himself training a detachment of Top Gun graduates for a specialized mission the likes of which no living pilot has ever seen, Maverick encounters Lt. Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller), call sign: “Rooster,” the son of Maverick’s late friend and Radar Intercept Officer Lt. Nick Bradshaw, aka “Goose”.

Facing an uncertain future and confronting the ghosts of his past, Maverick is drawn into a confrontation with his own deepest fears, culminating in a mission that demands the ultimate sacrifice from those who will be chosen to fly it.

When TOP GUN: MAVERICK hot dogs its way into theaters, audience members will be invited to slice through the skies with the best of the best. My advise is to prepare yourselves for some death-defying dogfights, sound barrier-breaking speed, and barrel rolls that would make Fox McCloud jealous. Enjoy the ride!

TOP GUN: MAVERICK will touch down in cinemas on June 25, 2020.
