You may hear serious hype about the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. The new adventure offers Chris Pine and Michelle Rodriguez leading the charge of a ridiculously charming cast. Joining them are a few terrific players, including Regé-Jean Page, Sophia Lillis, Justice Smith, and Hugh Grant. Written and directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, the humor and the adventure mix well. And yes, this cast is incredible together. Even if you aren’t gathering around for a game of D&D, you’ll find this new flick engaging and entertaining.

We recently spoke to this fantastic cast about their take on the game and about working with Mr. Daley and Mr. Goldstein. For Chris Pine and Michelle Rodriguez, it was an easy conversation. The natural chemistry these two have in the film came across in the interviews. They talked about working with each other and finding such an easy and fun relationship on-screen.

Next up, I had a lovely time chatting with Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis, and Mr. Regé-Jean Page. Justice and Sophia discussed their connection to D&D and being part of the fun in this lighthearted adventure. As for Regé, yes, this charismatic actor shines in the role, and he’s equally that way in person. It was an absolute pleasure chatting with him about taking on this character and being a part of the world of D&D.

And finally, I finished up with both Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley. The two discussed adapting D&D into a big-screen feature and choosing the cast. It was evident from the movie and this interview that they had a good idea of how to approach this story. And yes, they are fans and wanted to bring a little respect to the feature. This take on D&D makes a strong case for how good a film based on a game can be with a bit of care. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves opens this Friday at a theatre near you.
