Are you guys familiar with The Flying Conchords? Then you should be familiar with Jemaine Clement, right? Well the New Zealand funnyman is prepping a genre flick that I’ve just got to tell you about!
I kid you not folks, according to IndieWire Mr. Clement is currently working on a vampire comedy with Taika Waititi that’s been in the works for six years! Unfortunately there’s no official rundown for the comedy but Waititi did add the following:
“We really thought, oh, you know, no one’s doing vampire movies! It’s taken so long that vampires are now very uncool. But we’re hoping to get a chance to make it.”
So there you have it folks! Think there’s some potential with this one? I’d say with minds like Clement (above) and Waititi we’re definitely in for something entertaining at least. We’ll of course keep our eyes and ears open for more on the project so be sure to check back for any updates that might roll our way.
