The Wolverine

Director James Mangold is at it again on his Twitter account. This time the director has tweeted that work on THE WOLVERINE is almost finished and that they'll be recording the score and mixing the film starting this week.

Mangold later tweeted an image of Hugh Jackman and Hiroyuki Sanada practicing with their swords and claws on each other. I know I'm not the first to bring this up but Jesus H. Christ does Hugh Jackman look huge. Say what you will about Hugh Jackman but that man certainly knows how to bulk up for his roles.

While THE WOLVERINE originally was going to be a stand alone film, with the addition of a possible new end credit scene and time travel being introduced in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST it does seems like THE WOLVERINE will be an official part of X-MEN's film canon. At this point though I don't care: I just want the film to deliver.

We'll be able to see if THE WOLVERINE is a triumphant return or another disappointing chapter for Logan when the film hits theaters on July 26th, 2013.
