Jamie-Lynn Sigler

THE ICE CREAM TRUCK director Megan Freels Johnston is assembling an impressive cast for her new horror-thriller HUNTING SEASON, which is scheduled to go into production this fall. Joining THE ICE CREAM TRUCK star Deanna Russo are The Sopranos' Jamie-Lynn Sigler (pictured above), Sean Maher (Firefly), Bruce Davison (THE LORDS OF SALEM), Paula Garcés (the HAROLD & KUMAR films), and Hilary Barraford (United States of Tara).

Sigler will be playing "street-smart social worker" Abby, while Russo's character is "desperate single woman" Piper.

When Piper goes away for a romantic weekend in a hunting lodge with her dashing new boyfriend James (Maher), things don’t go according to plan. Abby must track down her roommate before it’s too late. However, she isn’t being chased by a psycho killer in the woods but the 1%.

Davison will play James's father, "a wealthy hunter whose desires have gone beyond big game."

Johnston wrote the screenplay and is producing the film with YuMee Jang. Barraford is executive producing.

I liked THE ICE CREAM TRUCK, and HUNTING SEASON sounds like an interesting variation on THE MOST DANGEROUS GAME, so I'm totally on board for this one. Especially now that we know who's in the cast.
