I’m sure I’m not the only genre fan out there that loves themselves some badass collectibles. Stuff like Movie Maniacs and Cult Classics. Who wouldn’t want to decorate their room with bloody figures and psychotic madmen? Exactly! So I’m here today to tell you all that I’ll be keeping an eye out for any and all HORROR MEMORABILIA from now on. I’ll be telling all of you readers out there about the newest and best collectibles out there.
Unfortunately we’ll be starting the article with… TWILIGHT. We just can’t get away from it. Rounding the net today is a new figure of Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen.
This 7” figure comes from NECA and offers 10 points of articulation. Along with the sour face plasted onto this bad boy you also get the ‘Cullen Family Crest.’ That’s the basics for you! So if your a big fan of those TWILIGHT books and/or movie, then you might just want this one. BUT IT NOW. Also, keep on the lookout for the announcement of the ‘Bella and Edward 2 Pack,’ coming soon!
Now that’s what I’m talking about! We’re going from Edward Cullen to Jason Voorhees! I’d like to see those two meet up in a dark alley… and if you buy these figures you can make that happen! Just the idea of watching Jason mowing down that self-loathing vampire puts a smile on my face… as does this new Jason figure!
Now there’s already been a few announcements for Jason Voorhees figures modeled from the new FRIDAY THE 13TH film (and in turn star Derek Mears), but this one is looking like it may be one of the best. MEZCO brings us this beauty, standing at over 7 inches tall and is fully articulated. As you can see from the pictures above and below, this figure is very detailed and has Jason bringing a machete and pick-axe with him. Pick-axe? Someone confusing Jason with Harry Warden?
Unlike Edward Cullen, Jason isn’t available yet. MEZCO will be releasing this one next month, just in time for the new film. Might I suggest calling this February FRIDAY THE 13TH month? Between theatrical release, documentaries, re-released DVDs, and toys… I think we’ll be all FRIDAY’d out come March… and that’s fine with me! I’ll be keeping a close eye on this one and I’ll update you all once we get a release date. Meanwhile go ahead and check out the badass pics above and below.
And just for the heck of it I’ve decided to throw up this little bit about some figures based on the cult classic film THE WARRIORS. Now mind you these figures are already a few months old but I came across them surfing the MEZCO site and have come to the conclusion that these are pretty awesome. Well not all of them… but a few of them.
Mainly the Baseball Fury! That’s one costume I’d love to put on for Halloween.. only problem is I can’t bring myself to don the Yankee stripes… die hard Red Sox fan over here. But alas, my conflicting costume wants mean nothing compared to these figures. Along with the Baseball Fury they’ve also got Cyrus, my favorite Warrior Ajax, Swan, and the Orphans Leader (which you can BUY OVER HERE.). You can head right over here to check them all out.
