UPDATE! You can now solely pay 5$ to see THE SHELTER as opposed to a 20$ plus ticket to enter the festival and see the film that way. The 5$ ticket will only give you access to the projection rooms and will be available for purchase at a table in the lobby (of the ALT Hotel) on the 7th floor.

Written and directed by Arrow in the Head founder John Fallon, THE SHELTER has had some great success. It's been screened at film festivals around the world, it's set to be released on VOD by Uncork'd Entertainment on November 4th (with a DVD release following on January 3rd), and will be having a theatrical run at the Laemmle Ahrya Fine Arts Theater in Beverly Hills, California from November 4th to the 10th.

We can now add another awesome event to the list: the Montreal Requiem Fear Fest has scheduled a screening of THE SHELTER in Montreal, Canada, Fallon's hometown. It will be showing at the ALT HOTEL (20 Rue Peel) in Room 3 at 4:15pm on Sunday, October 30th. Fallon will be in attendance at the screening to introduce the film, do a Q&A after, and give away THE SHELTER swag.

For more information on the Montreal Requiem Fear Fest, check out the festival's website HERE. If you would like to attend the festival (and meet Fallon at THE SHELTER screening!), you can purchase tickets HERE.

THE SHELTER was produced by Fallon and Donny Broussard. The film stars Michael Paré, Gayle James, Rachel Whittle, Lauren Thomas, Daena Turner, and Amy Wickenheiser.

The synopsis:

Vagrant Thomas Jacob (Michael Paré of "Eddie and the Cruisers" fame) finds shelter for the night when he falls upon a seemingly abandoned two-story home with its lights on and an inviting front door. Once inside, his past comes to haunt him and he soon realizes that he is not alone. There's a supernatural force on hand and it won't let him leave. Destiny has brought Thomas to this place but will he survive the ordeal?

DVD copies of THE SHELTER are available for pre-order on Amazon. Its Amazon Video VOD page can be bookmarked at this link.
