That Jon Bernthal is one hard-working dude. In the span of four years, the actor has appeared in some truly memorable movies, such as Martin Scorsese's THE WOLF OF WALL STREET, David Ayer's FURY, and Denis Villeneuve's SICARIO, and in the past year alone, Bernthal has been credited in five films: WIND RIVER, BABY DRIVER, SHOT CALLER, PILGRIMAGE, and SWEET VIRGINIA. The last film finds Jon Bernthal starring as a motel owner with a dark past named Sam, who unknowingly begins a rapport with a young hitman (Christopher Abbott) responsible for a spate of violence which has suddenly gripped his small town. Bound together by their outsider status, the two men strike up an uneasy friendship—a dangerous association that will set off a new wave of violence and unleash Sam’s darkest demons.
