Julian Sands & Kim Director join Sawa and Trejo in Danzig’s vampire western

Having made his feature directorial debut with the horror anthology VEROTIKA, which hasn't received a wide release yet, musician Glenn Danzig has moved on to making a film that he describes as

a vampire-spaghetti western. The soundtrack has been done for two years and of course it sounds almost exactly like an Ennio Morricone soundtrack. I think I'm actually going to do a small part in it too. Everybody in the movie is a vampire. So, you won’t have to wait around to see the vampire. They're all f—ing vampires!"

A few weeks ago, we heard that Devon Sawa stars in the film, and that the title is DEATH RIDER. There were also rumors that Danny Trejo was in the cast. Now the film's IMDb page has been updated with confirmation that it does indeed star Sawa and Trejo, and DEATH RIDER is the title… well, part of the title.

The full title is DEATH RIDER IN THE HOUSE OF VAMPIRES.

I thought DEATH RIDER worked just fine on its own, but the "IN THE HOUSE OF VAMPIRES" addition gives it a fun B-movie flair.

Sawa is playing Death Rider, Danny Trejo's character is Bela Latigo, and they're joined in the cast by Kansas Bowling as Rider's Dead Sister, Victor DiMattia as Kid Vlad, Ashley Wisdom as Mina Belle, Yulia Klass as Micarla Mae, BLAIR WITCH 2's Kim Director as Carmilla Joe, WARLOCK star Julian Sands (recently seen in the Into the Dark movie A NASTY PIECE OF WORK) as Count Holiday, and Danzig himself as Bad Bathory.

I haven't really followed Danzig's musical career, but I'm very interested in his directorial career. Those who have seen VEROTIKA have said it's an instant "so bad it's good" cult classic, and DEATH RIDER IN THE HOUSE OF THE VAMPIRES being a vampire spaghetti western sounds like something I would love to see.
