Nicolas Winding Refn (ONLY GOD FORGIVES, DRIVE) has always amassed some great acting talent for his films and now we have some big names to add to his latest. Keanu Reeves himself, along with the lovely Christina Hendricks, are joining the cast of THE NEON DEMON. They're not alone, however, as Jena Malone, Abbey Lee and Bella Heathcote will also be playing supporting roles in the tale about an aspiring model (Elle Fanning) who finds herself in a terrifying predicament with her survival hanging in the balance.
Refn has defined THE NEON DEMON as a female-driven horror story and will be working with his usual collaborators, Matthew Newman (editor) and Cliff Martinez (composer). Regardless of whatever genre Refn is shooting for, I know the only thing I can really expect is something unique and that I'll be talking about it with my friends for hours afterwards. Keanu Reeves is really an inspired choice as far as I'm concerned. He's certainly won audiences over again with his kick-ass work in JOHN WICK, so I look forward to what he'll bring to a Nicolas Winding Refn film.
