Keener joins Percy

I just finished watching the episode of “Seinfeld” in which Catherine Keener plays Jerry’s “bunko artist” girlfriend who famously paints Kramer. Even back then she had a certain je ne sais quoi that made her unique, edgy and an absolute pleasure to watch. It’s no wonder she’s evolved into one of the most exciting actresses working today.

The enchanting Miss Keener has been cast in PERCY JACKSON, Christopher Columbus’ adaptation of Rick Riordan’s fantasy-adventure book series that places Greek gods in modern times. Keener joins Pierce Brosnan, Uma Thurman, Sean Bean, Kevin McKidd, Melina Kanakaredes, and Logan Lerman in a tale surrounding Poseidon’s half-human son, Percy, who is on a quest in modern America to prevent a war among the gods. Keener will play Percy’s mother.
