Clark and Martha Kent are pissed! Following the loss of their son, retired sheriff George Blackledge (Kevin Costner) and his wife Margaret (Diane Lane) leave their Montana ranch to rescue their young grandson from the clutches of a dangerous family living off the grid in the Dakotas, headed by matriarch Blanche Weboy. When they discover the Weboys have no intention of letting the child go, George and Margaret are left with no choice but to fight for their family. Focus Features has released the first trailer for LET HIM GO, which you can check out above.

In addition to Kevin Costner and Diane Lane, LET HIM GO also stars Lesley Manville, Jeffrey Donovan, Kayli Carter, Booboo Stewart, and Will Brittain. While speaking with People earlier this summer, Lane said that Costner helped her feel "emotionally exposed" by sharing some of his music with her. "Kevin took his headphones off—he’s often listening to music that he creates and performs—and placed them on my ears," Lane recalled. "It was a song that he was proud of and wanted to share, and he knew it would melt my heart." The song made Lane feel "so emotionally exposed in service of the scene we had before us to film that day. Never forget this man is a masterful director in addition to his other talents! As an introvert, I was grateful to him professionally and touched personally."
