Welcome to our inaugural episode of Kill Counter: Face-Off Edition! In this series, we’ll be pitting films against each other to see which one had most the bone-breaking carnage between the two contestants. Today, we have a couple of Rob Zombie classics for your viewing pleasure.

First up, House of 1000 Corpses starring Sid Haig, Bill Moseley, Sheri Moon Zombie, Karen Black, Walton Goggins, Rainn Wilson, and Chris Hardwick. Released in 2003, the black comedy horror film centers on a group of teens who are kidnapped and tortured by a psychotic family, during Halloween, after traveling across the country to write a book. While initially receiving unfavorable reviews from critics, the film was a box-office success and has since achieved a cult following.

In the other corner, we have The Devil’s Rejects, the direct sequel to House of 1000 Corpses. This time, the film focuses on three members of the psychopathic Firefly family who are now on the run from the law. Sid Haig, Bill Moseley, and Sheri Moon Zombie reprise their roles along with new cast members such as William Forsythe, Lew Temple, and Danny Trejo. Both films boast gory thrills and high body counts, but which one takes the Kill Counter Crown? Only one way to find out… FACE OFF!

This episode of Kill Counter Face-Off is edited by Ric Solomon. But don’t let us have the final word — tell us in the comments which horror flick is your pick. House of 1000 Corpses or The Devil’s Rejects?
