Grab yourself a tank of propane and get ready to fire up the grill for more episodes of King of the Hill! The beloved adult animated series returns to Hulu with 10 new episodes on Monday, July 20, with all episodes arriving at the same time.

The King of the Hill revival follows Hank (Mike Judge) and Peggy Hill (Kathy Najimy) returning to a changed Arlen, Texas, after years working a propane job in Saudi Arabia to earn their retirement nest egg. The couple reconnects with old friends Dale (Johnny Hardwick), Boomhauer (Judge), and Bill (Stephen Root). Meanwhile, Bobby (Pamela Adlon) is living his dream as a chef in Dallas and enjoying his 20s with his former classmates Connie (Lauren Tom), Joseph (Tai Leclaire), and Chane (Ki Hong Lee).

What happens in Season 15?

Here’s the logline for King of the Hill Season 15:

“Hank and Peggy settle into retirement life on Rainey Street while attempting to keep their neighbors from going off the rails. Bobby navigates old friendships while dealing with the stresses of being an entrepreneur.”

Our thoughts on Season 14 of King of the Hill

Our reviewer, Tyler Nichols, loved Season 14 of King of the Hill, saying, “it’s a return to form for the series.” Adding, “Those who were worried this would carry over more traits from the end of the show should set those fears aside and look at this as even more of a continuation of those first six seasons. There are some beautiful tributes to Johnny Hardwick and Jonathan Joss, two important actors to the series that both sadly passed away before the new series aired. I can’t wait for Season 15 and hope that we get many more adventures with these wonderful citizens of Arlen.”

Try as I might, I’ve never been able to gel with King of the Hill. I gave the revival season a shot when it premiered to see what all the fuss was about, but I lasted about five minutes before moving on to something else. To be clear, I am the problem, not the show. Different strokes for different folks and all that, but I’ve never found common ground with the show. I probably didn’t watch the right episodes. I plan to give it another go when Season 15 premieres, hoping something clicks.
