Kirk and crew kick some ass in the latest Star Trek Into Darkness trailer!

I’m telling you guys that there is absolutely no question that STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS is my most-anticipated movie of this entire year. I’ve been watching watching Picard and Kirk seek out new lifeforms and lay down some Federation ass-kicking since I was 5 years old and plan to do so till my last breath. That being said, what J.J. Abrams has done with Star Trek by bringing it into the new generation makes me admire and respect him immensely because most Trek fans know that it was a franchise that was dying out before the 2009 reboot. I and many others have been reading about footage and screenings that have been held in the last week and everyone can’t stop talking about the incredible ride we’re in for come May 17th.

With all that existing excitement comes yet another awesome part of the film’s epic marketing campaign as the latest trailer has been unleashed on the net which you can check out in the video embed below. This trailer has been exclusively placed in front of screenings for Sam Raimi‘s OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL so as you can imagine, the trailer has a bit more of a “kid friendly” vibe to it with some comedy bits thrown in. In a couple of week’s however we’ll see the release of the final theatrical trailer which is promised to be for more mature audiences in front of G.I. JOE: RETALIATION so stay tuned around then when the trailer comes online. For now, enjoy the shit out of the new footage below as well as some screencaps.
