Legion has been renewed for a third season on FX

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Good news, everyone! Ahead of the show's Season 2 finale, FX has announced that LEGION is being renewed for a third season. Created and executive produced by Noah Hawley (FARGO, BONES), LEGION is the supremely psychedelic television series based off the Marvel Comics property created by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz. David Haller, otherwise known as Legion, made his debut in the pages of New Mutants #25 circa 1985. Both in the show as well as in the comics, David is considered to be an Omega-Level mutant capable of tapping into an untold amount of psychic power. He's a mutant feared by many and understood by few. In FX's LEGION, David explores the Marvel Universe while in the company of his friends who're also gifted with extraordinary abilities.

In talking about the show's renewal, Eric Schrier, president of Original Programming for FX Networks and FX Productions said, “Legion has redefined the superhero drama and exceeded all expectations as the intensity and revelation build through the second season." Schrier then added, “We are incredibly proud of Noah Hawley’s achievement and are honored to continue the series as it pushes the boundaries of conventional television storytelling. We are also grateful for the contributions of our executive producers, John Cameron, Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, and Jeph Loeb with Marvel Television, as well as our outstanding cast and crew of this groundbreaking show.”

LEGION airs on the FX network at 10 PM on Tuesday evenings. The next episode is titled "Chapter 18," which promises reunion, ruination and rage for fans of the top-tier mutant-related TV program. The show stars Dan Stevens, Rachel Keller, Aubrey Plaza, Bill Irwin, Navid Negahban, Jemaine Clement, Jermaine Harris, Amber Midhunter, Jean Smart, Hamish Linklater.
