Back in April a very pretty picture appeared, the first representation we had of the path Ang Lee’s mind had taken on the way to realizing the bestselling book LIFE OF PI.  Little else has been shown or revealed in the months since, with Lee no doubt hard at work at applying the same care and beauty to the rest of the film.

But now we have a poster for LIFE OF PI, one which should be immediately familiar to anyone who has followed the film.  Here’s a hint: click the hyperlink at the beginning of this article.

Life of Pi 1st poster

That being said, I’m not complaining.  Three months later, that picture is as pretty as ever and the mystery it sets up for those who have not read the book is an engaging one.  Here’s to hoping that the rest of the film meets the possibility this poster suggests.  You can see for yourself this December 21st.
