Lily Collins searches for understanding in Netflix’s To the Bone trailer

TO THE BONE is a Netflix-distributed feature film that follows the tale of a young woman (Collins) who is dealing with anorexia. In her search for answers, she meets an unconventional doctor (Reeves) who challenges her to face her condition and embrace life. The film is written and directed by Marti Noxon and stars Keanu Reeves, Lily Collins, Carrie Preston, Alanna Ubach, Liana Liberato, Kathryn Prescott, Lili Taylor, and Brooke Smith.

The film premiered on January 22, 2017 at the Sundance Film Festival, and is based on Noxon's own early battle with the eating disorder. Additionally, the project will mark Noxon's debut as a feature film director, with AMBI Group reported to be co-producing and financing the film. 

TO THE BONE looks to be an uplifting drama that explores the deep-rooted condition of anorexia while shining a spotlight on the people who live with the condition. Be sure to catch this one on Netflix when it debuts on July 14th.
